Trek Morocco Desert invites you to go on a personalized trekking journey in Morocco beginning in Marrakech. We will begin our journey from Marrakech to Toubkal today after a transfer to Imlil Village. As we ascend the Ait Mizane Valley, we first travel through Aremd before reaching the Sidi Chamarouch shrine. By traversing the flood plains, our trek eventually brings us along mule paths and up into the valley’s towering granite cliffs. After crossing the river, we approach the pastoral shrine of Sidi Chamarouch, which draws visitors and pilgrims. From here, the trail continues to gradually ascent, curving and zigzagging to the snowline and our overnight destination, the Toukbal Refuge (3206m). Four to five hours of walking are required.

We aim to reach the summit of Jebel Toukbal, the highest peak in Northern Africa, early in the morning. Our path ascends the south cirque and crosses a brook just above the refuge.
