Agadir is famous for its beautiful beaches, delicious seafood, and vibrant energy. With great weather all year round, it’s a popular destination for travelers from Europe and beyond. While a lot of visitors choose the comfort of all-inclusive resorts, there’s so much more to explore in and around the city. You can stroll through peaceful, eucalyptus-filled parks or search for treasures in the sprawling Souk Al Had, one of the biggest markets in Morocco.
If you’re into history, take a hike up to the ruins of Agadir Oufella, a 16th-century kasbah that was built to protect the city from Portuguese invasions. Though much of Agadir was destroyed in a 1960 earthquake, the ruins still offer a glimpse into the past. About an hour south of the city, you’ll find the Souss-Massa National Park, a stunning area of dunes, valleys, and coastal forests where you might spot ostriches, flamingos, or gazelles. Another great day trip is to Paradise Valley, a scenic spot filled with palm trees, olive groves, and inviting natural pools—perfect for a refreshing dip.
