Casablanca

Though it’s been years since the famous movie was released, the city of Casablanca remains a vibrant and dynamic destination. One of its biggest attractions is the stunning Hassan II Mosque, the fifth-largest mosque in the world and one of the few that welcomes non-Muslim visitors. Inside, you’ll be amazed by the intricate mosaics, woodwork, and marble that showcase the incredible craftsmanship.

Casablanca is also home to Place Mohammed V, a grand plaza featuring beautiful fountains, surrounded by striking architecture and close to the modern Avenue de l’Armee Royale and the cultural Sacré-Coeur Cathedral. A stroll through the city’s port will lead you to La Corniche, a lively beachfront promenade where you can relax by the water during the day or enjoy the vibrant nightlife after dark.

For a more traditional experience, wander through the colorful maze of the Old Medina, filled with stalls offering textiles, ceramics, and local art. In the historic Habous district, don’t miss the Mahkama du Pasha, a government palace from the 1950s featuring lavish rooms adorned with intricate wood carvings and Moorish designs, still serving as a functioning office today.
